What do we mean by Knowing, Growing, and Going?
Knowing
We know Christ as our personal Savior and desire to know Christ more intimately through worship and praise. In dependence upon the Holy Spirit, we — proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with His wisdom, to the glory of God the Father. (Colossians 1:28) We fellowship with each other in love as members of God’s family to know one another as brothers and sisters in the Lord, and call on others to do the same.
Growing
We seek to build one another up in love through prayer and fellowship, growing in our personal walk in Christ and growing in our ability to serve Christ and others. To this end we teach and train others to be followers of Christ so that they will in turn teach and train others to be the same, with Scripture as our sole authority.
Going
We intend for each of our members to make the Lord known through discipleship, evangelism, ministry, and service to our community in South Norfolk, Hampton Roads and the world, as individuals, families, groups and the church universal – in obedience to the great commission and for the building up of the body of Christ.
